Another Accent Nail

Hey everyone! I saw this nail design online and I semi copied it but I don't believe the colors are the same but still.  I will post better pictures of it tomorrow but for now I can only post 1 from my cellphone since the camera is being weird with my computer.
Anywho... For this manicure I used China Glaze Pool Party for every finger but my ring finger. For my ring finger I used Sally Hanson (cant remember the white colored name) sorry but then on top I used my black striping tool for free handing the zebra stripes. After all of that I topped them with a coat of Seche Vite. But on top of that I used my favorite top coat.

I really didn't see too into this one at first because it was around a lot but Essie Good To Go is amazing. It makes the manicure super shiny and last a lot longer. Don't get me wrong, I still use Seche Vite to dry my manicure but it never gets as shiny as I would like it. Do any of you have a specific topcoat?

Sadly I had to cut my nails down a bit but they're still long.

I like this manicure. I think it's fun and sexy. Reminds me of a zebra rug on someone's floor :)
See the resemblance? :)

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

So today I wasn't feeling well again but I needed to paint my nails because they were naked for too long. I found the new Nicki Minaj collection at my local JCPenny's and I picked up two of them. These were the most appealing to me since the others seemed like I have seen them elsewhere. And also I don't really like light green on my nails. Personal preference...
Any who, I wanted to use both of the polishes in one manicure so I have on my nails OPI Fly and on my ring finger as an accent nail I have OPI Metallic 4 Life. Both colors are beautiful and I actually have used the Metallic one before.
I really had a hard time photographing the black since it isn't really black. Its almost black but it seems grey with the shiny silver glitters (oh the glitters) and this isn't a good representation of the blue either. The camera wouldn't cooperate as well as I would've hoped but the rest are the best I could get.
(Sorry I'm so white)

This one was horribly blury but look at how sparkly the Metallic one is :)
That one is probably the best one.. But didn't represent the blue as well as it is in real life
This is a really good representation of the blue. It's like it wants to be a teal but it wants to be an aqua as well. I dont know but it is super pretty.

I like this look personally. How do you all feel about accent nails? Yay or nay?

Overall I like the quality of these polishes. Not too runny or streaky. Hope you all can pick up either one of these colors for yourself to try. You won't be disappointed.

Sick :(

I hate being sick. It is probably one of the worst feelings ever. I was supposed to go this weekend and meet Barry from Storage Wars (love that show) but I can't anymore because it would not be pretty. I hope I will be able to meet him another time. I cant even sleep so I am watching The Big Bang Theory online... Good show :)

So I'm super excited that I have 2 followers already even though it was just the first day. I'm not quite sure how to get any more other than to just put this all out there. So just to ask...is there any color of polish that you all just go towards? Blue is where I aim my sights. Every time I pick out a blue, I can't put it down even if I know that I may already have that color.

Even thought this sickness will probably stay, I will paint my nails today and put up a picture later.

Hope everyone is having a good night!!

Nail pics from my phone part 2

Ok so I realize after I was looking at those that I never gave any info with them like how I did them or what colors I used. If you really want to know just shoot me a comment and I would be more than happy to let you know what I used.

So this next part is more me trying different things. Whether or not I liked the turnout was a whole other thing but these are the pics for them:

This mani was one I saw online only they used blue instead of the red. I honestly have no idea where it was from and if you happen to know let me know and I'll give them full credit. Sorry I'm a bit of a flake.

These next two I wanted to try to plaid them. I started with just black and sparkley in the first picture but it looked a little bla to me so I wanted to jazz it up so I added some hot pink :)

My next one used my favorite polish. OPI Ski Teal We Drop. I love love love blue polish. I dont care what anyone says. Those are the first ones I go towards in the stores.

The next one was using the Sally Hanson Crackle. It was the white one. Can't think of the name offhand. I liked the turnout but I have to say that after not using it for a while, the brush went bendy. Not a fan of that.

After I painted my nails red, I really wanted to spice them up and I was a little disappointed that it ended up looking like lady bugs. Don't get me wrong, I dont mind that look. It just wasn't what I was going for.

This next one reminds me for some reason of nautical stuff or like a sailor. Not sure why. There is just something about it.

I was shopping in MN and I went into the Icing store and picked up this beauty. It is so pretty in real life... this picture doesn't do it any kind of justice.

I finally got into the Konad thing. It is easier than I thought it would be. I am pretty excited about using all of the different plates that I got. These are just a few that I tried.

This next one was one that I did around Halloween. It reminds me of spider webs but I wasn't going for that. I still really liked the outcome.

The next one was my Christmas mani. I know that many people did something similar to this and I did enjoy it. I also added China Glaze Fairy Dust to the top so it sparkled.

For Christmas, my wonderful boyfriend bought me a Coach purse and dotting tools so I wanted to give them a go when I used silver on top of China Glaze Frostbite.

And lastly this is the most recent, AKA I tried it a few days ago. I had on China Glaze China Rouge, and I wanted to try the gradient thing and I really dont think that I got the hang of it. It was really thick and it felt weird on my fingers.. maybe I'm just doing it wrong. It looked ok but it wasn't my favorite.

That's all I have for right now. Sorry if they aren't the greatest quality or just not good manicures. I do this for me and I hope you enjoy them.

PS Check out pinterest.com. It's my other addiction...

 See you :)

Nail pics from my phone part 1

So the quality of these pictures are super crappy but I can't find the charger for my camera.. So until then you can browse these and I will be using my boyfriend's camera. Anyways, here is the first mani I did with scotch tape. I used a black for the base and for the diagonal part I used a Pure Ice color. Not sure offhand of what it is but if you're dying to know I'll find it...

So this next mani I have to say I saw on Chloe's Nails and thought it was beautiful so I tried it as well.

The next two I also saw from Chloe's Nails and decided to try.. The second one is my favorite mani EVER.

I am pretty sure I found this one off of Chloe's nails as well but I dont remember. Sorry if it was :(

These next two are super similar. I prefer the one with the black and the pink with white but the other one works as well. I used tooth picks for these two as well.

The next two are my checkered manis.. they are fun and sexy and I get a lot of complements on them.

This was kind of long so I'll add another post with the other half.. Enjoy :)

Ok.. my second post as well

Ok I forgot some stuff... and also I wanted to add some pictures just to see how it went. I used to be a nail biter so there is hope for all of you to be able to grow strong nails... even after chewing :)

So this is me and my boyfriend.. He's really tall but adorable...

And this is my little turd :) His name is Blade and he is adorable and cute :)
Ok now my next post will be all about nails.. I promise :D

My First Post :)

I am super excited about starting this blog. I have been meaning to ever since I saw other people's blogs but I figured that no one would care to read but I guess this is just for me then :)

Anyways, my name is Stacey. I'm from Michigan (the UP) actually and it is freezing cold up here. I am going to school to be a nurse and it is a slow process but I'm getting there. Other than school I love doing my nails. It's the one thing that relaxes me... except when I screw up... thank goodness for nail polish remover right?? I live with my parents... I know... I know... but it's not so bad. They're pretty cool people. Also it wasn't by choice. This past fall I had to go to the ER for blood clots in my right leg up into my abdomen and also in both of my lungs. The recovery process has been long but it's getting easier and easier.

Well that's enough for now. I will try to post something nail related either tonight or tomorrow. But for now I hope to gain followers. Tell your friends :)
