Ok... Well now it's really nail time...

I have done my nails quite a few times since I last posted so these are what I have in order:

These were what I did for my sister's baby shower. I think it was China Glaze Pool Party and just a random white.

These were not my favorite... I didn't like how they turned out but whatever. I honestly can't remember what I used.

These ones I really liked, I used Nikki Minaj's OPI Fly and The green color (cant remember)

This is just a remake of one I have done before.

This is just the basic black with a Sinful Color that I can't think of.

This I used an Avon color along with the Sinful Color one from above.

These have to be my favorite. I used the Nicki Minaj colors again. I loved this look.

These are also one of my favorites. The sparklies looked great with theb lack stripe.

Jagged Sunday

Hey all! This weekend has blown by so fast. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. It was a busy time for me but I had a good time because my friend came to visit for the weekend. I miss her.

Anyways... So we were watching Law and Order: SVU and painting our nails and I tried to do some fancy things with purple and it didn't turn out like I wanted SO I started all over again. This time I just painted with my new Avon color: Blue Escape. I left that on for a while and then I wanted to do something else with it so I cut some scotch tape and did zigzag tips with Wet & Wild Black Cream.

I figured out that when you are using tape for your mani, it works to use the scotch tape that is clear. Every time I tried to use the kind that was smoky or not completely see through, it rips when I attempt to pull it up. Then it's stuck to my nail and I can't get it off and it doesn't work.

I really like this blue color. I have something similar but it doesn't come out on the nails like that. It looks like that in the bottle but comes out much darker on the nail.

So after all the tape I put a coat of Essie's Good To GO. It make's it really shiny. I like it :)

When my friend Kate came up, she brought with her many polishes from Sally's Beauty Supply since I dont have that up here. I love her :).

New Essie Polish

So I was at Wal*Mart the other day and I saw a new Essie display and this color popped out at me. I didn't pick it up right away but then in another area I saw it again and I had to have it. I was going to paint my nails just the color because it was so beautiful but then I decided to make it fun and scotch tape the nail diagonally and then add a holographic polish. It is snazzy and I love it.

It's blurry but the color is about how it looks. It reminds me of Nicole OPI's Chloe had a lam lam... I think that is what that was called...

And the Icing polish is so colorful and sparkly.

If you can get your hands on either of these polishes I would ASAP because they are super nice and a good pair together. Hopefully I will put up another post sometime this week. Have a good one everyone!!

Turquoise and Caicos

Sorry this has taken me so long. I had to use another laptop to upload these pictures. I dont have this on my nails anymore since this was earlier this week. BUT luckily for all of you, you will probably be getting another nail post from me later tonight. I took those pictures off of the camera too. 

I am in love with this color by Essie. Turquoise and Caicos is very springy and fun. I get complements from this color all of the time and I love how it looks with the color black.

See how pretty the color is? It is much better looking in real life but this is still stunning in pictures.

Sorry for the white spot on my middle finger. Not sure what that was from.

This is a little more green than it is in person.

I really do love this color. It's fun and it makes me think of Spring. I topped it off with a coat of SV.


PS- This weather is weird. One day it's hot and the other it's cold. I'm from MI and I know cold. This isn't right. It keeps icing at night. Hence why I fell smack on my butt last night. It hurt. Landed right on my elbow and tailbone and then my head flung back and hit too. A little hurt from that but it's not as bad as it could be right?

1. I played hockey for 16 years up until 2 winters ago when I moved to a town where there wasn't a team.

2. I once bit my tongue off after playing hide and seek (had to get it stitched back on).

3. I used to bite my nails until they bled until I was 18

4. I can speak and write a bit of Chinese

5. When I become a nurse, I want to become a geriatric (old people) nurse because I love them and they have a pretty easy time talking to me.

8. I just learned how to dirt bike last fall and fell in love.

9. If one of my nails breaks, I have to file them all because they can't be uneven. That drives me nuts.

Square as much as possible and if I happen to break a nail, squoval is acceptable...sometimes.

2. How many nail polishes do you have?

I actually just counted and I believe its 110

3. Do you remember the first blog you ever looked at? If so, whose was it?

The first blog was Chloe's Nails.  

4. What's your favorite polish technique (stamping, sponging, water marbling, etc.)?

I actually just bought the sponges to try doing that but I have yet to try it. I like my scotch tape manis or stamping. Water marbling is pretty but so messy. 

5. What's one technique you're dying to try but haven't yet?

 I want to try that one where the polish is still wet but they swirl it. Like this:

6. Do you have any other passions that aren't nail related?

I am really a tomboy... I love all things sports.

7. Twilight or Harry Potter? 

Harry Potter for sure. Never saw or read anything Twilight.

8. Is there a particular color you really like to wear, clothing wise?

I either like bright colors or black with a sweater over.  

9. Do you show your toesies as much attention as your fingers?

 Not so much in the winter because they don't show as much but in the summer time they get a lot of colors. 

10. What's your favorite place that you've visited thus far?

 I went to Texas for a wedding once. Drove. From Michigan. With 5 other people. Yeah. But it was nice down there and fun. I liked it.

11. What's your biggest nail related pet peeve?

It's just a personal preference and not to bag on anyone that does this but I actually have 2. One is when the nails are different lengths and different shapes. And the other is when there is nail polish left on the nail from months ago. I mean really. I will soak a cotton ball in remover and take it off for you. Please let me :)

A place for my nails 

Whew! That was harder than I thought it would be. So I haven't put up pictures of my nails in a few days but I took them. The camera isn't cooperating with my laptop (Mac) but I promise they will be on sometime tomorrow. Which is just in time since I am changing my manicure tomorrow night. Bought a new Essie shade I want to try out.
